'An essential read for tough times' RANGAN CHATTERJEE

'Wise and provocative' THE DAILY MAIL

'In the end, it's not what happens to us that matters most - it's what we choose to do with it. We all face suffering - sadness, loss, despair, fear, anxiety, failure. But we also have a choice; to give in and give up in the face of trauma or difficulties, or to live every moment as a gift.' DR EDITH EGER

Why we love it
This book should be required reading for human beings. Dr Eger has worked as a psychologist for several decades especially for those overcoming trauma - from violent relationships, child sexual abuse to post-traumatic stress disorder, soldiers from war and addiction. She still practices psychology and provides lectures. Edith is incredible, she wrote her first book, at 90 years old, she's now 93 but dances like she's 20, loves to share her recipes and known for our personal favourite quote and shows her sense of humour, “Honey, you’re in charge, so take charge. Don’t be Cinderella, sitting in the kitchen waiting for a man with a foot fettish.”
